Our pads are over sized. The industry norm has been, 3.5, 5.5, and 6.5 inches. For faster results we increased or pads by a 1/4 inch in diameter. It makes a difference when you are polishing a pick up truck, or something as big as a motor coach. Also, with the cut back design, with a 35 degree beveled edge a 3, 5, or 6 inch backing plate will fit perfectly. The pads are attached to the backing plate with Velcro hook and loop. McKee’s 37 Redline Pad System are 7/8” thick which gets the most of the pad rotation.
